My first favorite sandals were made by a California company called Ocean Minded they had a similar belief in using recycled materials for their soles and footbed. Sold to crocks in the late 2000s they remained ok but I don’t think the brand survived. Olukai came along and they filled the gap for a high end leather sandal but paying north of $120usd for a sandal all be it durable was rough but it was also the only option. Found these on a facebook add and the design caught my eye and with the holiday discounts i bought some having never tried them on or even seen them. After a little break in period they have lost some stiffness and are a good choice for day to day wear and being made of recycled or sustainable materials they are a great choice. Order a half size or even full size up if you don’t like them to fit your foot with little wiggle room.
